No Bake Molding Systems

Airset Molding Systems

Molding Systems

Airset molding systems and components are the core of Del Sol's equipment offerings.  Our experience in foundries from an operational standpoint coupled with a unique ability to properly apply available technologies allow Del Sol to help you get the correct equipment in your foundry, properly applied, and at an appropriate cost for your business.  In our no bake molding designs, we seek...

  • Simple solutions.

  • Minimal hands on labor simply moving molds.

  • Equipment to produce the mold counts you need with the labor count you desire.

  • Increased up time due to simple designs and equipment

Del Sol has experience in molding carousels, "fast loops", powered and gravity conveyor systems, and even crane managed molding systems for large molding production.  We have the ability to fit the right solution to your production needs.

Molding Carousels

Our favorite airset molding system is the rotary carousel.  They are simple, require fewer drive motors, chains, photo eyes and sprockets than parallel conveyor systems.  They do take a little getting used to.  Carousel molding systems install easily, take up very little space, and are extremely simple from a controls standpoint.

The basic concept is that of a rotary turntable. The table top is supported  by a heavy duty steel casters on support rings. Gravity roller conveyor is mounted on the turntable top extending radially from center. The unit is driven by a substanital center mount chain and sproket drive. Controls can be manual start/stop all the way to fully automated.

Custom Conveyance

Del Sol also offers parallel conveyor molding systems in both powered and manual formats.  We sell a lot of conveyor and can custom design the product flow to meet your exact needs.  We can even retrofit conveyor into used or refurbished equipment as pictured below.

What is shown below is a used rollover draw machine that had variable width clamping that was too small.  We supplied the conveyor in the photo in order to allow for much larger molds to be run with bottom boards.  We were able to eliminate high maintenance hydraulic components, allow the customer to run huge molds, and were able to fit the conveyor into existing equipment with a simple modification.
