Bulk Resin Distribution System
We design and build foundry resin delivery systems which are easily customized for any foundry binder system. Systems are sized and specified for your exact consumption requirements. We can also add resin heating to complete your process control system.
We spent many hours designing out complexities in order to provide a simple, robust foundry solution that will survive the foundry environment and be easily maintainable over the long haul.
THEORY OF OPERATION

Liquid level sensors mounted in the top of the receiving tanks (photo below) trigger a ball valve to open for filling from totes or bulk resin supply. Pumps to move the resin can be either recirculating or start/stop.

When the system calls for resin, bright blue lights engage to let operators in the area know that the system is calling for resin. If the light stays on, it is an indication that for some reason, the tank has not refilled. This is normally due to empty supply tanks. We can add custom alarms to the lights to warn operators that supply tanks need to be replaced. The system is designed as a keep fully system. Essentially, every time your sand mixer(s) draw down resin levels in the day tanks, they are automatically refilled. This helps to stabilize the sand preparation process and is especially helpful when trying to maintain particular resin temperatures with a heating system.

Once the receiving tank is refilled, the light(s) go out and the system returns to recirculation mode.

Resin heating systems are optional but are easily added to the receiving tanks or recirculating delivery system.
