NEED A LITTLE GOOD NEWS?
As is often the case, I am writing from the road. Â Both a sales and consulting week. Â We hear a lot of bad news everywhere we turn. Â We hear about poor business levels, foundries that are closing, presidential candidates that make us shake our heads, etc.
Well, how about a little good news. Â There are things happening in the foundry market. Â There are customers that are actively investing in their future business. Â Del Sol is actively engaged in several major equipment orders, installations, and consulting for new foundry constructions. Â There is light out there in a bunch of bad news.
I visited a foundry yesterday that is currently ramping up their technical department with improved testing equipment, process control, and the like and they are already seeing new business, new orders, new customers, and new opportunities that they did not have the opportunity to pursue prior. Â This is encouraging.
Strangely, we have had calls for Frac Sand equipment that we have not received in months and months (and it is a bunch of calls lately).  If you don;t know, this is an indication that something might be ramping up in the oil field market.
The sun came up today. The Dunkin' Donut guy made the donuts. Â And the lights of the foundry just got turned on.
TIME TO MAKE THE DONUTS!!!!!!!!!
I know many customers are on the fence about investments. Â That is normal and to be expected. Â But I do hope that we all engage in our industry, our strengths, and our desires to solidify the business we have and be comfortable in moving forward. Â We have experience business cycles before. Â We will experience business cycles again. Â Regardless, the sun still came up.
