When Did We Get So Needy?
Any of you who know me, know I travel a lot.  You also know that I am pretty conservative.  So I am sitting in  hotel lobby this morning, after working out, and very rarely (maybe once every three months) watching the news during a workout (I swore off the news years ago because it serves to try to impart fear and worry in the populace for the sake of ratings (opinion). Â
After thinking about my week, and after watching the news, I ask myself "when did we all get so needy"?
On the news, one of Obama's czars states that our health care costs won't go up due to Obama Care. Â BS!!! Â We just received an 18% increase on our high deductable plan with NO claims in the last 12 months. Â It went up 15% last year - stated reason from HUMANA - Obama Care.
When did we ask to have government dictate our health care?
When did we ask the government to bail out every failing enterprise they see fit?
When did you ask for your tax dollars to be pissed away on programs that are over budget, inept, and completely ineffective?
When did we ask for the government to be out caretaker?
When did we quit caring enough to go to work and earn a living?
When did we accept mediocrity as any type of acceptable?
When did it become necessary to draw so much of a tax burden from income producers to support the no income producers that American enterprise and growth feels like it is coming to a screeching halt?
When will it end?
When will our nation return to balancing the books? Â Doing what makes sense? Â Expecting all of us to pull our share? Â Stopping the BS spending that comes from both Washington and state legislatures?
I pray that one day I can tell my kids, it was in 20XX that we made the turnaround. Â In 20XX, a new group of leaders stepped in and stepped up to fix the problems of this nation and not just print money. Â In 20XX, we became free again.
